OVERVIEW

This course is designed to equip leaders with the essential knowledge and skills to foster a respectful and safe work environment. You will explore key leadership responsibilities, including leading by example, demonstrating respect for team members, and understanding the values that guide effective leadership. The course covers important topics such as the definitions of discrimination, harassment, and bullying, along with the relevant State and Federal legislation, including the Respect at Work and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements. Participants will also gain insight into the impact of allegations on both individuals and organisations and learn about their duty of care in managing complaints.

The course provides a clear understanding of reasonable management actions and what the law defines as bullying in the context of supervisor-employee interactions. Additionally, participants will explore organisational policies, the internal complaints process, and supervisor obligations to address issues of discrimination, harassment, and bullying.
